Controller

A mid-sized accounting advisory firm in Phoenix is looking for a Controller to lead its accounting function. The firm has 201-500 employees, and the role is hybrid. It's a good fit for a Big 4-trained CPA who has already held a controller seat and wants to run the books at a firm that knows the profession well.

What you'll do

• Lead the accounting team and own day-to-day accounting operations
• Manage the month-end and year-end close
• Prepare accurate, timely financial statements and reporting for firm leadership
• Maintain strong internal controls and keep accounting policies and procedures current
• Ensure the firm's books are kept in line with GAAP
• Work with senior leaders on the firm's financial results and priorities

What they're looking for

• Active CPA license
• Big 4 public accounting background
• Proven experience as a Controller
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills
• Polished communication and the credibility to work with senior stakeholders
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule in Phoenix, AZ
